So
you ask, "What's it like?" |
|

Well, in one word, exciting! It is also one of the healthiest ways to cook because you know exactly what you are putting into your meal. You start by choosing the type of broth to cook with from our menu. You can even order two types of broth (Yin Yang Broth) to be server on a duo-pot. Then select the type of meats and vegetables you want to add. Different types of noodles and bean curds are also available. We also have chef prepared fried rice and noodles, too. And don't forget a nice, cold beverage to accompany this soul warming meal.
First-timer can get a little over whelmed with all the choices on the menu. No worries, we have prepared different combo platters just for you. Just ask our wait staff and they will be happy to assist.
Soon after ordering, your waitress will come to your table with a hot pot of broth and set it on the electric burner. Within moments, the fragrance of the amazing broth fills the air as steam rises from the boiling cauldron filled with spices and herbs. Meats and vegetables will arrive at your table there after. You are now ready to ‘cook’ your own meal! With the broth boiling, start placing your meats dishes in. Then in goes the vegetables. Noodles and bean curd usually goes in last to finish off the broth. Keep in mind that since the meats are thinly sliced, they only take seconds to cook.
Once the broth boils again, the items are cooked. Fish them out with the skimmer, add a bit of broth in your bowl and enjoy. You should definitely try the broth before and after adding everything in to savor the difference in taste. Don’t forget that the broth can be scorching hot. Even though the broth tastes great, you should still be careful not to burn yourself.
You will also see that many of the larger tables have families both young and old enjoying this wonderful cuisine. This is rightfully so since that’s how the Mongolians used to enjoy this wondrous way of dinning. So bring lots of friends and family with you to share this unique culinary experience. See you soon.
